Tips and Tricks on becoming better in Player vs player

This will be a sort of guide that will hopefully help you become a better player by approaching things in and outside of the game. Okay Lets start.

Ever wonder how some people are able to land 5, 10, even 15 SD’s on you in a row? No they are not ‘botting’, they simply achieved mastery over their controls. So here goes the first tip.

1. Disable Mouse Pointer Precision.

Your mouse is naturally programed to respond to your hand commands. Meaning that if you move your mouse faster with your hand, the faster the cursor will move. This is a big problem when it comes to games that require very accurate mouse aiming. So I will tell you how to remove it so your mouse stays at a constant speed.

1. Press the windows start button, type “Mouse”, and click on your Mouse settings.

2. Go to the tab that says Pointer Options.

3. Disable “Enhance Pointer Precision”

4. Adjust the slider to the 6th notch.

This makes it so that your mouse movement ratio is 1:1 as in, if you move your mouse super fast, it will move at the same speed as if you were moving your mouse super slow. Now your mouse wont be unpredictable and you can grab your runes and aim really easy. This will get time to get used to. But the good news is, you can practice doing it with anything, browsing, watching porn, etc. so after few days you will get used to it.

2. CPL mousefix.

So after you completed tip #1, windows is still a bitch and residual acceleration may still remain. This is where the CPL mousefix comes in. To use the CPL mousefix simply unzip the folder and click on the .reg file and say yes to anything that comes up. All it does is change two lines in your system registry to completely stop all mouse acceleration.

You can download it, (at any of the links)

3. Finding out how good your mouse is.

It is nice to know what your mouse is currently capable of reporting at in windows hrz. This is how many times per second your mouse is updating in windows. The higher the better. A higher mouse rate means smoother cursor movement, and less latency. Basically this program will tell you how decent your mouse is.

You can download it;

4. Removing delay from your keyboard.

Like your mouse, your keyboard needs to have the least amount of delay as possible, using your movement and hotkeys at the right time is a big part of pvp.

1. Go to control Panel

2. Keyboard Properties.

3. Speed Tab.

4. Move the ‘repeat delay’ and ‘repeat rate’ options to the far right.

Now you removed the delay that Windows themselves have saved as their standard amounts.

5. Removing in-game lag.

Moving as fast as possible ingame is probably the most impoertant feature. It makes it harded to be hit and allows you catch others. The following links contain two automated click and run programs that will tune your system to the type of Internet connection used.

6. In-game hotkey tip(thanks to Worr)

Before you setup your hotkeys you should add #s on every new line.

F1: #s exura vita

What it does is to keep your private channels clean during hunts and battles by autosending hotkeys in default channel. When it comes to hotkey layout only you can know what you prefer but everytime I see someone have haste or ultimate explosion on F1 I’m confused. You should keep your important hotkeys close to your hands. Also remember F-keys are lined up four at a time. This makes it easier to find keys without looking. Use this to your advantage and put important hotkeys on F5, F8, F9. For instance I have #s exevo gran mas vis on F5. It’s useful to have waves on two hotkeys. If you have druids water wave on F12, put it on ctrl+F12 too. This makes it easier to do a fast turn and wave. Other useful tips is to have buy and travel hotkeys somewhere on shift or ctrl hotkeys. When you are done with your hotkeys open tibia.cfg in your tibia folder. Find your hotkeys, which should look something like a bunch of lines like this one: Hotkey = (0,”#s utevo vis lux \”hi world\n”). Copy them to another document. If you later want to change to another set of hotkeys you can easy switch back after.

7. Common sense tips

These tips may seem simple, but they are still beneficial in some way.

i. Mute yourself. If your focused on PVP, its good to mute yourself so you wont see yellow text next to your name. It sometimes blocks your health or other vital aspects that are going on around you. Just do ctrl+i and add your name.

ii. Use classic controls. Why? Because you waste less time doing pretty much everything. Click ladders, opening backpacks and many others aspects can be done faster if u do not have to hold down ctrl while doing them. This little amount of time can determine a kill or death for you.

iii. Hide everyone’s name. What do i mean? Well like anything, this game has some psychological aspects involved. Lets say your fighting some godlike player like Gaboneitor, and you seem nervous, just remove all players names. Press CRTL + N and you can trick yourself that you are fighting just another player.

Thats all, hope you found them useful.

Interview with Dennis aka Toor

I’ve been trying to get a hold of Dennis for a long time. I actually started writing this blog mainly because I wanted to find some answers about the CIP hack.

If you dont know about Dennis, he was the owner a server called Realots, a server which used real CIP files. These files were obtained in 2006 when the 7.7v got ‘hacked’.

1. How did you acquire the CIP files? Rumor has it that you, or someone you know socially engineered the hosting company many years ago. How many people were involved?

I did it by myself. Initial penetration by social engineering. Their old hosting company allowed an administrative contact change for their account. I pretended to be a CIPsoft employee “on call” needing a password change. They asked me for the IP number and the name of the owner for the account and they made the change. I used a password recovery and gained access to a vast amount of tickets, some of them containing plain text IPs and passwords to KVM devices. That led to the compromise. However I didn’t compromise player accounts.

2. Another important question that people are wondering is who has the files besides you. From what I’ve gathered its you, Simone, Remere, GrizZmo and Iryont?

I dont want to answer that question. It’s a matter of safety. Referenced people may be subjected to attacks to obtain the files.

3. Some of the hacked files were leaked at some point. All the NPC files and the world map are available to download. Did you or someone you know leak it?

A select few had the map, monsters and NPC (amoung them an otfans admin and sim0ne). I’m guessing they released it.

4. You decided to use the files with your open tibia server, to mimic the conditions of tibia as it was in 2006, how usable were the raw files at first? Was it hard formatting them to be compatible with otserv? Anyone help you with that?

Sim0ne helped me convert the map and make sense of monsters but eventually we figured out the protocol to run the real thing.

5. You used the files with your server, were you worried about legal troubles? Did CIP ever threaten you or contact you regarding using their stolen data?

Cipsoft has always known that I ran the server. I had occasional correspondence with them about it and by not taking action they condoned it. It made legal action unlikely if not impossible due to their previous inaction. So I wasn’t worried about it. In law, if you want to be able to enforce a right you have to defend that right. If your actions are to the contrary you lose the option to enforce it.

6. There was a rumor you singed a legal contract to not distribute the files?

Ulrich Schlott(Durin) was intending to send me paperwork that would keep me from releasing material in exchange for legal immunity but it never came to that.

7. You made lots of money from your server by using the CIP files, can you give an estimate of how much?

I used to gross 4-5K/ euros a month during RealOTS peak time. It totals to alot.

8. Any truth that Doonark(Ryan) was going to buy a copy of realots for 5k Euros?

True, but the deal bounced.

9. What do you say to all the people who claim to have cipsoft files and open up servers saying they are 100% 7.7. Do you think they just have the npcs and map files while all the other aspects are recreated?

They just have the NPCs and map files and have to guess everything else. Almost no one has all files. There is just one other person with the complete distribution 😉

10. Having seen the codes, and other aspects that go along in quests, do you think that cip edited anything after the breach since you had inside knowledge on stuff that was unknown or undiscovered at that time?

Undoubtedly things have changed. At the time there were many unfinished quests as well.

11. When you first saw the files, were you surprised by anything? Did you expect anything to be or not be there?

I was surprised that spells were hard coded into the game rather than configurable. Same for formula’s, runes, etc. It meant that Cipsoft had to recompile and deploy a new version of the game server every time they wanted to make a change. For me it made things very tedious to edit.

12. Anything you wish people know that you know due to you seeing the files?

Two things: 1) Gamel is a rebel and 2) The sword of Fury _is_ obtainable but it’s very rare and extremely tough. The code detailing the quest (except for how to make it disappear) is in no one’s possession.

13. Who is Gamel? ;O

You should ask the guard Chester Kahs about him 😉

12. Favorite moment while hosting realots?
Definitely the creation of Kipsaté, a fast running chicken that spawned a whole myth with players chasing it to figure out its secrets.

13. Why did Iryont stop hosting realots?

I guess due to the workload. It’s very time intensive to make modifications to the server, requiring a lot of dedication.

14. What do you do for a living, and how did you start tibia?

In daily live I’m a lead programmer. I started on Balera when it was launched. 2005 I think. Great server until PvP ended.

15. Since your bringing realots back again, did you know that Ryan West is ddosing every old school server, do you think you will have a problem with him?

I doubt it. It will be a multiproxy setup so no DDoS can ever touch the actual server and at most temporarily disrupt the players of a single proxy.

12. Anything you wish to add?

Shoutouts to: Alvaro aka “Magz”, legendary mage and long time friend. One of the very very few people who have ever held a magic longsword and gave it back. Rodrigudo aka “Trenshy Master” who always had my back and was a role model in many ways, and to Simao aka “Smith Icarus” who risked it all to protect the innocent and serve justice.

There you have it :v)

Interview with Iryont aka .3lite

Took a few months but here it is 🙂

Iryont has been known for hosting the following servers. Due to the popularity of these servers, he makes perfect sense as someone to interview.

1. When did tibia enter your life?

I’ve started playing Tibia back in 2003/2004 or so, it was version 7.3+. I’ve played on Hiberna and some other servers. But I only had max of 60 level.

2. You were involved in others servers besides the ones you run now, Classic tibia who was run by you and Remere, and also a server called tibianic 7.1?

I was creating Tibianic before even ClassicTibia came out, but when it did come out I’ve stopped working and switched to tibianic 7.1 server just out of fun I guess.
The server went down because there was no point in hosting it, Remere had an option to donate for the server but since people had everything in game for free there was no point in donating.
In the end, basically Remere didn’t like how people acted. It was rather a lack of faith in people.

3. During my research I saw you wrote that you stopped working on tibianic 7.1 due to protocol limits, can you explain more?

It’s more or less about the possibilities which client can provide and in the case of 7.1 client it was very limited, though, it depends what client you would use – the real one (7.1) or newer one with sprites of 7.1 Tibia, in the second case it wouldn’t be a problem.
To be honest I don’t remember exactly what stopped me from working on server with 7.1 client since it was long time ago (like 4 years by now) so I can guess but it was probably something important or I just abandoned it for possibility to launch and focus on 7.4 server.

4. How did you start on Tibianic 7.4?

I believe I took the 8.x source files from the trunk and just started working on them downgrading the protocol. I believe it was right after CT went down, so I would say it’s way over 2 years by now.

5. You made everything by your self? All aspects of the server?

I had to, I’m kind of person who doesn’t like working with others too much.

6. You opened tibianic 7.4 in 2010, how was the beginning like?

I guess I had several problems back then since it was basically first test over large group of people.

7. Did you use Denni’s files?

Not his files exactly (realots + customs things) but rather a clean Cipsoft server with my own work.

8. How long do you plan on hosting realots?

As long as there will be people willing to play it, though, the current version is already offline – I will be moving all characters to my own server due to all the problems with the original one.

9. How long do you expect people to play it?

I have no idea but it’s pretty much up to them if this server will be a long-term server or not because you can’t just stop playing the server and expect it to be on-line forever, you are the one who is keeping the server up and running.

10. Why do you believe it is better to have multiple servers rather than just one?

If you are capable to run several servers then why wouldn’t you do it? It’s about the fact that not everyone wants to play a low rate server, some guys just want to have fun rather than spending a lot of time on training or gaining experience.

11. How does realots and tibianic differ from each other?

The game play differences aren’t enough? More powerful mages due to wands and rods and pretty much a lot of other things? If not, then I suppose there isn’t much difference expect the rates.

10. How much longer do you think you will be interested in tibia?

The time I’ve been working on Open Tibia I consider as time I’ve spent to learn things especially when I was (practically I still am) an OT developer – working on something like that with a lot of smart people like Remere even if you do it for free gives you the great experience which will be valuable for you in future and if you are smart enough the knowledge you gain during the time you spent on it will help you in real life to get a decent job.

How long will I be interested in Tibia? Well, I’m not really interested in Tibia at all but it gives me great pleasure to keep my oldest server up and running for the people playing there.

11. What do you think the open tibia community will look like in 2 years? 5 years?

I guess it will eventually die out, unless there will be more developers to work on Open Tibia because nowadays there is practically no active person left.

12. I see that you and remere were the last ones remaining to keep updating the sourceforge open tibia software.

There aren’t many developers right now.
I was only updating some critical bugs.
I’ve never added any feature or something like that.
I was rather making the server more stable

Who is destroying the old school community?

There is a  person who is destroying whats left of the small community just so he can earn some money. Most of you know what I’am about to write about, so this would be just a confirmation.

One reason why people played oldera is because Ryan would ddos all other competitors. Some hosters payed hundredths of euros for their hosts, and he would just constantly ddos’d them and eventually killed their player base. He even ddos’d tibianic for a few days straight to get more players.

If you look at tibanic’s facebook fan page, you can see they even had to switch hosts in late Novemeber because of the Ddos.

The following is skype convo’s proof of him ddosing multiple servers such as Antica, Last-world, Faloria, and Tibianic, at the end of last year. These OT’s were popular in November of 2012. The following  small cuts of convo’s are only relevant to this topic, so i left out months of chat. If you have an old school server and its getting ddos’d, 90% chance its Ryan.

(All the different aliases are Ryan. He just frequently changes his name on Skype)

Now this is just convo’s of about 40 days, and even though it only shows him admitting to attacking a couple of servers, almost every old school server gets ddos’d by him.

I’ll drop this here as well. It’s a screen shot of his desktop, him having his vpn open, you can also see his skype name at the bottom, and his original IP.

I wrote this because I’am tired of seeing this community get smaller and smaller. I believe that Ryan is a big part of this problem. I hope that by writing this people will stop playing his servers so he can hopefully go away. He lacks the social skills to run a successful server and thinks that by having superior files he can get more players. Its easy to spot his shitty servers if you played them, he is also easily tricked and most people can already tell which new server is his. So whats my solution? I would say best thing to do is to stop playing his servers. I can easily tell which ones are his, just msg me on Otland if you are unsure and I will flat out tell you my opinion if its him or not.  I hope the mods on Otland will ban his threads, and Xin on otserv can remove his servers as well. (dropped his skype, his IP, and lol account names on purpose)

Interview with Vateriel from Unit – [Titania]

Got a hold of Patrik aka Vateriel from Unit. Besides giving me an interview, he also provided me with many Unit tibiacams. If your not familiar with him, just use tibiawiki or google. He was the leader of Unit, one of the most famous guilds on Tibia.

Unit was mostly known for being unbeaten in wars, and being the first guild to kill Orshabaal and Morgaroth in Tibia. Vateriel was also the first person to kill all demons in the Anhilator quest and solo demon helmet quest.

Here we go 🙂

How and when did you start with tibia?
I started playing tibia in 1998. Back then there were no broadband and everyone used modems. So we had a very popular internet café in our city where most people went after school, not only to play but also just to hang around to talk.
Either way, there were two guys who were playing tibia there and eventually more and more people tried it out. All of a sudden we all played it and it was pretty much the only game everyone played
I actually started playing there on my own, but later on I found out that two real life friends (Wayne Silver and Rostein) played there aswell.

Can you tell me your favorite moment during your time in Unit?
Oh that’s a hard one.. There were so many good moments. But if I had to choose one I’d probably say when we had a gathering in real life at my house.Even Damyn and Dante Dreamweaver came all the way from Germany. It was nice to put faces to the people I got to know so well ingame. That was in 2003. I’m not sure how long before that we got to know eachother, but it was probably a year or two.

Can you explain how you guys started the guild unit? and how it developed?
When I got Gaura to play seriously on Titania we decided to make a guild with strict rules and limited recruitment to be able to control what was going on. We never wanted a big mass recruited bunch of people that we couldn’t count on when we needed it. I can’t really remember exactly how things went on and how we got the people we ended up with into Unit. It feels like they were there from the start, even if I know they weren’t

Whats your ingame favorite moment?
That must have been getting server first level 100 for sure

You guys were first to kill orshabaal, how did u come up with the tactic?
if I remember right Rostein came up with it on his own long before Orshabaal even spawned

You guys were one of the first to use ventrilo, do you think that contributed to ur success?                                                                                                                                     Definetly. Being able to talk to eachother and give direct orders in real time without having to write it together with Gaura’s brilliant tactics were the keys to our success

What would you say was the most intense moment, any specific wars or battles? What moments stood out?
It was so long ago, so it’s hard to remember which battles were more intense than others. But all the open battles we had stands out very much
As the people we were against always had at least three times more people than us there
all the interesting PvP moments we had are already on youtube 🙂

When wayne silver made the movie, did you notice Units popularity rise? or what u think contributed to its popularity?
Yeah well the thing is that this was 7-9 years ago 😛 so I can’t really remember that many details but
yes definitely. We got a lot more attention after Wayne Silver’s movie. After that I guess we just got more and more people enjoying the way we played 🙂

What do you remember the most?

Haha what I remember most about is how some people in Unit always tried to powerabuse time after time. Always having to keep them in line haha. It Mostly Johnny Gunsy and Joel Backman.. For the money

why did unit split up?                                                                                                                                                                                                            There are many versions about that As I said many people kept trying to power abuse etc, do things we didn’t stand for. When it was both me and Gaura leading we could depend on each other, we always had the other ones back. But when I stopped playing everything was up to him to sort things out, he never had anyone to back him up the way I did. So eventually Unit split up into two groups and after awhile they left to make Correctional Facility.

Why did you decide to spot playing?
I was getting tired of it and World of Warcraft was just released

You attempted Anhilator 3 times right?

Yes but me and Rostein were the first people in Annihilator to kill all demons
We sacrificed Wasosky to make it happen
Paid him to die We had him standing behind Rostein, with me and wayne Silver behind them

What do you attributed your success in team fights?

Before every single battle would occur. Gaura had tactics at every single key location
If we needed an escape, we knew where to go
We went around the world and had marks on our maps at certain places, incase we would get separated from eachother
If we said for example “meet at the cross” everyone knew exactly where to go
We had practices how we would set up our positions in Fibula, MoLS, deeper Fibula, Edron, Cyclopolis etc
Everything was planned beforehand and everyone knew what to do, just because of Gaura’s intelligence and strategies
There were no uncertainties when it came to what we would do when we had a battle
If we had a battle at some location, everyone knew where to go when we retreated, at what position to stand in to protect us as well as we could
If you look at Wayne Silver’s movie you can see an example at Cyclopolis
*Everything* was already prepared for before anything even happened
Because of Gaura
People outside of Unit has no idea of how intelligent Gaura actually is. How his strategies won our wars, how our sneak attacks were set up

Interview with Daniel Peña Vazquez (BlackD)

BlackD, who has been around the Tibia scene for more than ten years was kind enough to provide me with an interview.

He talked about several subjects such as his bot, the deleted character Messiah,  and even his relationship with CIP.

Here we go 🙂

Whats the story behind Messiah? Was he your character? Why was he deleted many years ago?

Well, I started to share it with my evil brother, and then he started killing everybody. Then Cipsoft invented the skull system and the autodeletion after some deaths
That also killed Tibia
The skull system is the real problem of Tibia nowadays
All the kills were considered justified before the automatic system – as long you could give a reason to a gm about the kill. Even if the reason was “he killed my wolf”
in fact, my brother killed a lot of people only because they killed a wolf that was always attacking him while he hunted (it was like a pet)
after the skull sytem, the machine does not accept that as a justified reason.

(If you are interested in more about the story about Messiah HERE is an interview conducted 7 years ago by tibiahispano.)

You started developing your bot in 2007? You programmed it?

I designed it for a handicapped friend. He lost 1 hand, so it was very hard to play Tibia for him.
Just some basic automations in a first place and I guess I have better skill than the average programmer.
Making a bot is not really hard, but it takes a lot of time.

It became popular and you started selling it?

In first place I didn’t want the bot to become so popular. But many people was telling me that they wanted to pay whatever it cost to have it so I started selling it. I think I sold it from 2008 to 2010. I took it seriously because you must give your best for your customers.

You also run a gold service?

Well, I played several servers, so I had a little world trade service. World trades gives a lot of gold after some transactions. Then I also had a few people interested in buying gold for real money. At the end I only had to set a web for both things and it works like a charm. You start with only a few servers, but later you start filling the gaps, forcing world trades to the gaps. I always give big bonus to the world trades that goes in my desired direction.
And that is legal – no doubt. It is not even against any Tibia rule. Cipsoft tolerates it as long you don’t do advertisement inside game. I never do advertisement there. If you see someone spamming in depots that is other person, and probably a scammer.I never used cavebot for making gold. In fact I only do the minimum tests with cavebot, nothing else. Anyways you can’t make big gold from cavebot, really.
The big gold comes from worldtrades.
Ant that is around 5.000KK/year
(that is , 500.000 crystal coins / year)

How do you run your business, does anyone help you?

I do almost everything myself – worldtrades, sales, delivery, design of the web, marketing …
I have a few volunteer moderators for my forums
and when I am overloaded my brother help me a bit with the emails
but technically I am not a company. I am only a sole trader. A legal sole trader without company.

What does a regular day look like for you?

Depends of the day… I am a bit lazy. If I have a lazy day then I play World of Warcraft all the day while I deliver gold in background as soon my system notify a new paid order.
If I feel smart then I go programming all the day while I deliver gold in background (that is a common part of my standard day)

Any favorite stories about your relationship with CIP?

Good, I remember Guido teleporting to our guildhall for some chat, and tp to the gm island, and Guido summoning us a dragon in our druid-multiclient-farm, and a funny incident with my brother buying premium account by gold. The buyer cancelled the payment and Guido deleted him and had some chat with my brother about it. Guido didn’t know about that market.
now Cipsoft is making big money selling premium by gold (premium scrolls).

Did you have any legal problems?

I am not an expert in laws, really. Maybe there are no problems at all. But Neobot was a very successful bot and he stopped selling it because he said there was a new law. That is all I know really. Anyways my bot was giving me very few profit so it is not worth the risk.  Now -technically – I not selling it. I give it for free.Nowadays I give it for free because I don’t want problems with the new laws But it is still there for the people who need a bot badly.  I always warn that you can get deleted for using it, but a lot people want to use it anyways.Customers ask you for a lot of improvements and new features all the time. Too much stress. Nowadays that is not my business. I just give the tools for free, and I only do minor updates.

What is

I didn’t create it… I just bought the web because the original owner had to focus in his family. It was a cheap price, and my server had enough resources for around 100 webs more, so it didn’t mean any extra maintenance cost… A sure profit.
but then the tibiacam maker disappeared
I worked with him
but one day he just disappeared
he does not answer emails anymore
he does not update his tool
now we don’t have tibiacams…
so have few users now.
For the average person it is very hard to record tibia videos without the tibiacam tool.
we had a tool that recorded small .cam files. but it is not updated anymore
it does not work with latest Tibia version.

Do you still play tibia? What do you think about CIP opening and 7.4-7.72 server?

I must admit that I played Tibia recently, up to level 90 (more or less)
In one of the new preview servers
But I expected to see changes
like no-skull system
or somekind of rollbacks to the good old Tibia
They changed nothing yet
So I stopped playing it
Now I only play WoW
I think that they would hate to do that… but such servers would be a big success, no doubt.

Any last comments?

well, I just want to state that now my main business is selling Tibia gold. And -just in case someone didn’t notice it yet- my web is    🙂

Thank you a lot for the interview!

Is Tibia and Open Tibia on the decline?

We are all aware that we are part of something that is slowly becoming extinct. The game tibia as we know is dying due to several reasons. The golden years of this game are long gone, and the people who are left are a small community.

We see in Google trends that tibia today has as much interest as it had in 2004, meaning before this game even had a skull system or the city of Ankrahmun.

We also see that in December of ’07, tibia was at its most popular time.  Tibia was 8.1 version at that time, and the emergence of what CIP had stored for the future has shown its roots. Shortly after, CIP got rid of all gamemasters, made the game-play super easy and made all aspects of what made tibia the game what it was extinct.

Websites such tibianews now generate almost zero traffic, while many other forums like WOT gave up on tibia and decided to stop hosting.

According to CIP’s website, the maximum on all game worlds together was 64028 players on Nov 28 2007, 19:26:00 CET.

Compare that with todays 27942 Players Online. And how many of them are cavebotters? Maybe 70%? That’s still 1/3 of what the online number was 5 years ago.

So what about 5 years from now?

Who knows, But as more people grow displeased with Tibia, more people are attracted to open tibia.

According to otserv, Right now here are 26288 players online on 825 servers. That’s almost the same amount as normal Tibia.

Now im not saying that Open tibia is growing, its actually the opposite. You can see that the search for open tibia server’s is drastically declining as well.

However we see that the search term otland is constantly changing and is unpredictable.

But we all know which direction this is all headed. As people are getting older and moving on with their life, the more they lose interest in this game. The people who stuck around, especially those who played the 6.4-7.8v clients, are people who are irreplaceable and are keeping the community moving forward.

We see that the open tibia community is comprised mostly of countries from Poland, Sweden, Mexico, Brazil and Mexico.

So lets think about this logically. The people who played versions such as 7.6 in 2005, were most probably between the ages of 11 to 18. That was almost seven years ago. So these same people, the ones who stuck around that is, are now between the age of 18 to 25. As time passes by, these same people will lose more interest in and old 2D game that died long time ago.

So what I’m saying is, open tibia is a community that will eventually die. There are only a handful of individuals who are contributing to its growth through coding, hosting, or writing, other members are just using easy “click and run” files to open servers and gain profit.

Can anything be done to prevent the inevitable? Well I can only think of one thing to make this game more popular again. And that is for CIP to open an “old school” server, however CIP already addressed this issue several times HERE and said it will not do it.

Thats all, stay black tibians.
